Admission requirements

Admission to all regular degree programs is based on:

  • 12th grade completion at least with minimum qualification to join higher education

  • Having minimum diploma in related fields and with two years work experience as an advance standing and COC certified. 

  • And others as per   the national admissions requirements set by the ministry of Education.

Grading System

  • The grading system shall be as per the academic regulations of Bahir Dar University.

Graduation Requirements

Graduate students will be awarded the “Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing Management” if they fulfill the following requirements:

  • A minimum credit hour of 145cr.hrs/ 240 CP
  • A minimum Cumulative Grade point Average of 2.00
  • No Fx, F, NG, I, in any course and 
  • Other requirements of Bahir Dar University Senate Legislation shall be fulfilled.

The medium of instruction for the program is English 

Degree Nomenclature

Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Marketing Management

Duration of the program        

The duration of the study for BA in Marketing Management is 4 to 6 years or 8 to 12 semesters for Regular program, 5 – 8 years or 10 to 16 semesters (10 -16 winters and 5 -8 summer terms) for Extension program and 4 – 6 years or 8 to 16 semesters (4-6 winters) for Distance program

Total Load

To be eligible for the BA degree in marketing, a candidate is expected to take A total of 147 credit hours or 245 credit point of course and research project work (the final year research project) are considered as a full load of the program.
