It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the College of Business and Economics (CoBE), Bahir Dar University.

Established in 2002 G.C. at the faculty level, the CoBE was founded in response to Ethiopia’s growing need for competent, ethical, innovative, and socially responsible professionals capable of contributing to business and socio-economic transformation. Over the years, the College has grown significantly in its academic programs, research, community engagement, and institutional partnerships.

At CoBE, we believe that quality education goes beyond the acquisition of theoretical knowledge. We are committed to developing graduates with strong professional competence, ethical values, critical thinking, creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and practical problem-solving skills. Our goal is to prepare graduates who can respond effectively to the demands of a dynamic and competitive labor market and become responsible professionals and leaders who create value for organizations, communities, and society.

We also recognize that sustainable impact requires strong, purposeful, and mutually beneficial partnerships.
