  • Tana Research and Diagnostic Center (TRDC) operates as an independent entity under the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, having its own organizational structure with the required elements approved in February 2024.TRDC is establishing a state-of-the-art facility staffed by experts to drive advanced research, innovation, product development, and top-tier diagnostics. 

  • Committed to enhancing healthcare quality, TRDC serves as a premier hub for training, quality assurance, certification, and accreditation, fostering sustainable development through national and international collaboration.

  • Good Medicine 3D Technology Hub: Focuses on developing personalized assistive devices using scanning and 3D printing, specifically aiding patient recovery in pediatric rehabilitation

  • Mecha Health and Demographic Surveillance System and Field Research Center (HDSS-FRC): Established in 2013, this center generates longitudinal, population-based data to drive evidence-based research, program planning, and multidisciplinary community health improvements. 

  • Clinical Trials Unit: for different clinical trial studies.

Research and diagnostic-grade laboratories under establishment

  • One of the aims of TRDC is to conduct advanced and participatory health and health-related research, produce products and transfer technologies. TDRC will provide the state-of-the-art core laboratory facilities with BSL-3 for researchers, and create conducive working environment. The center will be a training site for different professionals. Joint research project will be designed and implemented.
