ReachAnother Foundation (RAF) and HOPE-Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (HOPE-SBH) pay a visit to Center of Excellence in Neuroscience at Tibebe Ghion Specialized Hospital.

(February 21, 2022, Bahir Dar): ReachAnother Foundation (RAF) and HOPE-Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (HOPE-SBH) paid a visit today to the Center of Excellence in Neuroscience at Tibebe Ghion Specialized Hospital.

In an effort to oversee the progress of the center, Charles Howard from ReachAnother Foundation, Dr. Nebiyat Tesfaye from Saint Peter Hospital, Meskerem Denekew from Zewditu Hospital and Beza Besha from Hope-SBH visited the major activities carried out so far.

In a meeting held with the hospital team and top management bodies of the college after the visit, the team of experts has stated that they have been impressed by the progress of the center. They said that they have found the center beyond their expectation as it has advanced enormously and remarkably.

In the end, they have extended their gratefulness to the top-management bodies of the college for their dedication in supporting the hospital team achieve encouraging results. They said that the leaders at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences/ Tibebe Ghion Specialized Hospital are uncommonly committed to improve the hospital services in general and the center of excellence in particular. They have also suggested considering additional options of improving the practices at the center that could enable speed up the leaps to take it to its next level.

It is to be recalled that to make the College achieve its vision of becoming one of the leading health institutions for academic, research and service excellence in Africa, in partnership with ReachAnother (RAF), the college has set out the initiative of establishing center of excellence in Neuroscience among many others in its 10-year strategic Plan.
