The seminar was delivered by Dr. Mikael Alemu Gorsky, an international strategist and academic researcher specializing in the societal and institutional implications of artificial intelligence. Born and educated in Moscow and drawing on Ethiopian and Israeli heritage, Dr. Gorsky currently lives and works in Israel. He serves as a lecturer and researcher at the Holon Institute of Technology near Tel Aviv, where his work focuses on how emerging technologies reshape governance systems, higher education, and long-term development trajectories.

In the seminar, Dr. Mikael addressed the rapidly evolving global landscape of artificial intelligence and examined its transformative implications for society at large. Particular emphasis was placed on how AI is reshaping governance systems, public administration, and the strategic direction of higher education institutions.

During the session, participants raised questions on the need for institutional policy on AI, curriculum redesign, emerging global AI trends, the integration of AI into institutional decision-making and medical sciences, and the ethical and regulatory challenges associated with technological acceleration. The presenter underscored the urgency for universities and public institutions to proactively position themselves within this transformation by investing in digital capacity, research innovation, and adaptive leadership.High-Level Seminar Explores AI and the Future of Society and Education
