Bahir Dar, August 7, 2025 – EngenderHealth Ethiopia, a leading global women’s health organization committed to advancing gender equality and quality healthcare, organized a two-day training on Family Planning (FP) Service Integration and Values Clarification and Attitude Transformation (VCAT).

With a strong presence in Ethiopia, EngenderHealth supports the delivery of high-quality Comprehensive Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (RMNCH) services in 440 woredas across six regions and one city administration.

The training brought together midwives, Plan program staff, quality officers, department heads, and other key health professionals. The goal was to strengthen their knowledge and skills in the delivery of integrated RMNCH services, with a focus on ensuring rights-based, client-centered care.

The event was officially opened by Dr. Amsalu Worku, Corporate Director of Health Education and Services, highlighting the critical importance of coordinated efforts to improve reproductive health outcomes in the region.

Following a series of insightful presentations, participants actively engaged in reflection and dialogue on strategies to enhance the quality and accessibility of RMNCH services in their respective institutions.

The discussion session was jointly moderated by Dr.Betelhem mekonnen, Director of RMNCAYH at the Amhara Regional Health Bureau, and Dr. Degalem Baye, Deputy Director for Health Services/Medical Director of Tibebe Ghion Specialized Hospital.

This capacity-building event marks another milestone in EngenderHealth’s ongoing partnership with regional stakeholders to drive sustainable improvements in women’s and children's health across Ethiopia.
