The donations inclue two operating microscopes with display screens, CCTV cameras for surveillance, 7 cataract sets, 48 sets of model eyes, 2 hard discs and 2 surgeon stools among others.
The donation and the establishment of wet lab will enhance the quality of surgical training by allowing residents to practice surgical procedures and improve their surgical skills.
The donation was formally handed over by Mr. Abreham Haddis, Manager of Infrastructure and Logistics at Cure Blindness Project. In addition to the handover, technical training on the use of the instruments was provided to a biomedical engineer, and an orientation session was conducted for the residents.
