With a strong foundation as a medical doctor and biochemist, he brings a unique blend of clinical insight and strategic thinking to leadership development. A Mandela Washington Fellow as part of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) at Georgia State University, Dr. Alemseged is deeply committed to empowering health professionals and educators to lead with competence, confidence, and integrity.

Dr. Alemtsehay Mekonnen is a distinguished Associate Professor of Reproductive Health at Bahir Dar University, holding a PhD in Public Health and a postgraduate certificate in Advanced Leadership Practice from Bahir Dar University. With over 20 years of academic and leadership experience, she has made significant strides in institutional capacity building, teaching, research, and community services, with extensive publications in her field.
