The Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology (EiTEX), Bahir Dar University, has signed a Framework of Agreement with Donghua University to collaborate on Excellence in Engineering based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2023, on June 13, 2025.

Recent Events of EiTEX The International Conference on Cotton, Textile and Apparel Value Chain in Africa (CTA-2025), which was organized by the Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology (EiTEX), Bahir Dar University, for the 13th time on May 2-3/ 2024, was successfully completed.

1st National Conference on Sustainable Leather Care (SLC-2025) JUNE 14, 2025

The 4th National Conference on Waste to Wealth (W2W) by Biorefinery Research Center (BRRC) will be held on May 03, 2025, at Wisdom, Bahir Dar University.

The first national stakeholders workshop on Advancing Sustainable Leather and Leather Products Manufacturing Sector in Ethiopia was held on the 28th of April 2025. The Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology (EiTEX), Bahir Dar University, organized this event as part of the xllence4LeatherAfric project.
