A Farewell to Deputy Chief Registrar held
Bahir Dar University recently held a farewell ceremony in honor of Deputy Chief Registrar Mr. Mulualem Getahun Abebe, who is departing to pursue his PhD studies abroad.
The event was attended by senior university leadership, including the President, the Academic Vice President, deans, directors, and colleagues. The gathering was a heartfelt tribute to Mr. Mulualem’s dedicated service and significant contributions to the university.

ዩኒቨርሲቲው ከክልሉ የመስኖና ቆላማ አካባቢዎች ልማት ቢሮ ጋር በመተባበር ያዘጋጀውን የመስኖ ሥራዎች ዲጂታል ስርዓት በተመለከተ አውደ ጥናት አካሂዷል።
የዩኒቨርሲቲው ፕሬዚዳንት መንገሻ አየነ (ዶ/ር) በዚሁ ወቅት እንዳሉት፥ የዲጂታል ስርዓቱ በሀገር አቀፍ ደረጃ ዘመናዊ የመስኖ አስተዳደር ሥርዓትን የሚያስተዋውቅ ነው።
የመስኖ ግድቦች ደህንነት መረጃ ለማግኘት፣ የማምረት አቅማቸውን ለማወቅ፣ በመስኖ የመልማት አቅም ያላቸውን አካባቢዎች ለማሳየትና ተያያዥ ሥራዎችን ለማመላከት ያስችላልም ነው ያሉት፡፡
የክልሉ መስኖና ቆላማ አካባቢዎች ልማት ቢሮ ኃላፊ ዳኝነት ፈንታ (ዶ/ር) በበኩላቸው፥ የዲጂታል ስርዓቱ በትክክለኛ መረጃ ላይ ተመስርቶ ውስን የሆነውን የውሃ ሃብት በአግባቡ ለመጠቀም ያስችላል ብለዋል።

(September 2025): Nile Executive Leadership Academy at Bahir Dar University Offers Advanced Leadership Training to the esteemed executive members of the Ethiopian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (ESOT).
This pioneering program, designed in a blended format , employed live virtual dialogues, using an advanced learning management system, and immersive in-person workshops. Such a format not only provided flexibility but also cultivated the space for profound reflection and learning.

Building on our inaugural session, this remarkable achievement highlights BDU's unwavering dedication to empowering students, professionals, and lifelong learners with top-tier, internationally recognized testing opportunities right here in Ethiopia.

Bahir Dar University – Institute of Land Administration (BDU-ILA) has received UAVs, digital teaching tools (including OWL Labs meeting equipment), a server, and other educational and research resources from BOKU University and the Technical University of Vienna (TU Wien) in Austria. 
These contributions were made through two collaborative projects: the Land Information for Land Management (Li4LaM) project, funded by the ERASMUS+ program, and the Edu4GEO2 project, funded by the Austrian Agency for Education and Internationalization (OeAD).
