The Faculty of Social Science invites academics, researchers, students, policymakers, and development practitioners to participate in the 13th International Social Science Conference, which will be held on June 5–6, 2026, at Peda Auditorium. The conference will provide a platform for scholarly exchange and discussion of current social, economic, and development issues.

The Faculty of Social Sciences is pleased to announce the publication of a new book by Dr. Nigusie Mandefro, exploring Africa’s pursuit of reform within the United Nations Security Council. Published by Palgrave Macmillan, the book provides a critical analysis of Africa’s position in global governance and the challenges surrounding Security Council reform.

The Faculty of Social Science organized a half-day training on publication, grant, and fellowship writing for academic staff and postgraduate students on May 26, 2026. The training aimed to strengthen research capacity and enhance participants' academic writing and proposal development skills.
