Biography

Frehiwot Asres is a social work lecturer at Bahir Dar University. She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Bahir Dar University and has over 10 years of experience in teaching and community capacity-building activities.

Her research interests focus on the psycho-socio-economic challenges and resilience of women, children, youth, and displaced persons. In addition to her academic achievements, Frehiwot is actively involved in community capacity-building training.

She was presenter on Fourth National Conference on Gender, IDP, and Health, organized by BDU, Amhara Health Bureau and Plan International Amhara Program Area. Her presentation was titled “Psychosocial Challenges and Resilience of Internally Displaced Person: In reference to South Wollo Zone”.
