Biography
My name is Melkamu Alebachew, was born in Bahir Dar in 2084. Currently I am lecturer and researcher at Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia with academic title of assistant professor. I have attained primary and secondary school at Ewket Fana elementary and primary school Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. At the end of Secondary school, I took ESLECE exam. During that time, I have got a result that enables me to join Degree program. MOE assigned me at BDU.As a result I have attained first degree here in Bahir Dar University. My hobby is focused on Reading Different types of articles, books and dealing with people about current issues.

- PhD in Geography and Environmental studies at Bahir Dar University in 2024. Dissertation title: Modelling the Status of Land Degradation Neutrality, Ecosystem Service Value and Sediment Export of Rib Watershed, Upper Blue Nile Basin, Ethiopia.

Research interests
I have research interest on area of ecosystem service, soil loss, sediment export and land degradation neutrality.
Research projects since joining BDU
I am new for the Bahir Dar University. I am the staff of the university for the past four months. Therefore, there are no projects done.
