Profile

I am assistant professor in Textile Engineering at Ethiopian institute of Textile and Fashion Technology, Bahir Dar University, Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, with more than 16 years of compressive experience in teaching, research, and publications. This career is distinguished by a strong commitment to advancing the field through impactful teaching, pioneering research, and substantial scholarly contributions, with authorship of more than 37 research journal articles. Have a role in teaching MSc students, developing and revising BSc and MSc curricula, participating in various extracurricular activities, and spearheading cutting-edge research initiatives. I am an expertise in textile engineering, specifically the development of biomedical textile materials, biopolymers, nanofibrous materials, wound dressings, and natural textile fibers. My research interests are functional textiles, health care functional textile materials and process, natural textile fibers, materials testing and characterization techniques, nanomaterials, sustainable materials and circular economy and green energy, recycling, upcycling, and remanufacturing of materials.
