¨ Currently, I am working as the director of Research and Dissemination, starting from March 10, 2023, at the Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology-Bahir Dar University. 

¨ I have four years’ experience as the Institute Industry linkage Vice Dean from January 9, 2019, to February 20, 2023, at the Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology-Bahir Dar University.

¨ I have one year of leadership experience in the position of student unions president in 2014/2015, at Bahir Dar University.

¨ I have nine years of Teaching, Research, and Community Service experience in the rank of Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer, and Assistant Professor at Bahir Dar University, Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology, starting from July/08/2015, to now. 

Special Achievements During My Leadership Period

¨ A new establishment of the National University Industry Forum in Ethiopia since 2023 in the textile, apparel, and leather sectors, including the manufacturers, firms, enterprises, and research and academic institutions.

A new establishment of the Career Development Center at the Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology-Bahir Dar University. 

¨ Organized and chaired the international conference on ‘Cotton, Textile and Apparel Value Chain in Africa (12th CTA-2024)’.

¨ I have a four-month internship research work experience entailed ‘parametric study of the tear resistance of selected woven’ at the Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic, 2018.
