Universities, ARARI sign accord
BDU:The public universities situated in Amhara Region have inked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amhara National Regional State Agricultural Research Institute (ARARI) to collaborate in research and training areas.
According to the Bahir Dar University’s External Relation and Partnership Director Dr.Abiy Yigzaw, the agreement was signed at ARARI’s head office in the presence of the seven public universities (Bahir Dar University, University of Gondar, Wollo University, Debrebirahan University, Debremarkos University, Woldiya University and Debretabore University) representatives.
The agreement will enable the two parties to initiate joint research projects, to exchange best practices and experiences in training and consultancy services and to cooperate in disseminating research outputs in an effort to analytically counter to the pressing challenges hazarding the agricultural sector of the region.
During the agreement, The Bahir Dar University’s President Dr.Baylie Damtie,The University’s Vice President for Research and Community Services Dr.Tesfaye Shiferaw, The External Relation and Partnership Director of Bahir Dar University Dr.Abiy Yigzaw and The University’s Research Director Dr.Melaku Wale and The University’s Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Dean Dr.Belayneh Ayele were present.BDU, six Universities ink MoU
