School of Public Health holds PhD viva voce

(November 30, 2023, Bahir Dar): Bahir Dar University College of Medicine and Health Sciences School of Public Health held today PhD dissertation public defense.

The PhD candidates Mitiku Bonsa and Endalkachew Worku presented their studies today in the morning and afternoon sessions respectively. The former did his dissertation on 'Assessing Exposure to Physical Hazards, Occupational Health and Safety Practices, Health Outcomes , and Economic Costs among Workers in Suger Factories in Oromia Region, Ethiopia." The latter did his on 'Social Capital and Continuum of Maternal and Child Health Services in Ethiopia: With a special reference to the application of a quantitative approach in South Gondar Zone."

The candidates delivered their insightful and thought-provoking research presentations to examining board and a panel of experts from the college and other stakeholder institutions.

The event created a platform where ideas, insights and scholarly discourse are exchanged among the examiners, esteemed faculty members and the candidates.

The college extends its heartfelt and  warmest congratulations to the doctoral candidates on reaching this pivotal stage of their academic journey.
