Mr. Workineh is a Lecturer, Researcher, and currently Head of the Department of Political Science and International Studies at Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. He holds an MA in Political Science with distinction and received the Best Postgraduate Thesis Award from Bahir Dar University.

Mr. Workineh has served as a Principal Investigator at the Diplomacy and Foreign Policy Research Centre of Bahir Dar University. He has also held academic leadership positions, including Vice Head of the Department of Political Science and International Studies, Course Chair, and Distance Education Program Coordinator. He is a certified Executive Leadership graduate of the Nile Executive Leadership Academy (NELA).

Mr. Workineh has published in leading international peer-reviewed journals and presented his research at national and international academic conferences. Beyond his scholarly contributions, he has actively engaged in curriculum development, student mentoring, career development training, and community service. His teaching and research interests include politics and government, elite politics, state and nation-building, geopolitics, conflict, and governance.
