Launch of Digital Skills Training Partnership

IMPORTANT TRAINING OPPORTUNITY: Digital Skills Initiative
The Faculty of Computing (FC) at Bahir Dar University is pleased to announce the launch of a free and certificate-based digital skills training program in collaboration with DEMERA organization.
This innovative program is a direct partnership between the Faculty of Computing, Bahir Dar University and DEMERA.

KEY PROGRAM DETAILS
Training Focus: High-demand, current digital technologies (certificate-based).
Target Group: Approximately 50 graduating computing students.
Delivery Mode: Online instruction.
Duration: six months, running concurrently with formal studies.
Launch Date: Scheduled to launch in the coming days.

Training enhances student competence, directly preparing them for professional careers in the digital economy.
The program supports Ethiopia's national mission for digital transformation by contributing to the workforce capacity required to digitalize the nation.

Feven Gold Medalist 2025

The Success Story of Feven Gurju

Feven Gurju Awgichew is an exceptional student on track to graduate as a gold medalist in 2025. Her academic journey began at the Bahir Dar University STEM Incubation Center (BDU-SIC), which was established a decade ago to enhance the skills and talents of students excelling in general science, mathematics, and technology before they enter university.

During her time at BDU-SIC, Feven distinguished herself as a dedicated student, completing her preparatory studies in 2022 and subsequently enrolling in the Faculty of Computing at Bahir Dar University, specializing in cybersecurity. Now, as she approaches graduation, Feven has achieved remarkable success, earning a GPA of 4.0 and securing the title of top scorer for the class of 2025 at Bahir Dar University.
