On April 29, 2025, the Faculty of Computing at BiT convened a half-day meeting to discuss key topics aimed at developing future action plans and strategic initiatives for the upcoming Strategic Plan 2030. The meeting included participation from all academic staff within the computing faculty, including academic chairs and other leaders, as well as participants from the Material Science College. This new strategic plan will replace the current Strategic Plan 2025, which concludes in January 2025. Participants actively contributed valuable ideas for the strategic plan, fostering a dynamic discussion that included inquiries about advancing BiT's academic pillars, such as learning and teaching, research, and community service. The meeting was coordinated by Dr. Zenamarkoss Dendekie from BiT and Dr. Tesfa Tegegn, the dean of the Computing Faculty, who addressed various questions from attendees. The coordinators expressed their appreciation to all participants before concluding the meeting just before lunchtime.
