On April 29, 2025, the Faculty of Computing at BiT convened for a half-day meeting focused on critical topics necessary for shaping future action plans and strategic initiatives as part of the upcoming Strategic Plan 2030. This gathering included participation from all academic staff within the computing faculty, such as academic chairs and other key leaders, as well as representatives from the Material Science College. The new strategic plan is intended to succeed the current Strategic Plan 2025, which is set to conclude in January 2025.
During the meeting, attendees actively contributed valuable insights that sparked a lively discussion, addressing questions related to the enhancement of BiT's academic pillars, including learning and teaching, research, and community service. The meeting was organized by Dr. Zenamarkoss Dendekie from BiT and Dr. Tesfa Tegegn, the dean of the Computing Faculty, who responded to various inquiries raised by the participants. Before concluding the meeting just before lunchtime, the coordinators expressed their appreciation to all attendees for their contributions.
