PERSONAL QUALITIES and attributes 

I am an assistant professor in Psychology working towards research, community engagement and teaching at Bahir Dar University. I am always seek to deliver training sessions at high quality level. My Communication Skills helps me to effectively serve our institution in a community service and training positions. I am honorably dedicated, hardworking, and committed to become a dependable and valuable team member in any individual, cooperative and collaborative working calls.

1. AS Consultant and Material Developer, I:   

• Participated at national level module preparation for primary educators so that there has been better achievements in employing teachers with adequate educational background and content knowledge 
• Developed and implemented a system for quality delivery and for tracking employee training and development progress, resulting in improved percentage in employee's soft skills development and skill attainment
•  Consult and prepare playbook for Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) related pedagogy of science education in primary schools 
•  Consult and prepare School WASH Operation and Maintenance strategy for WASH sustainability, quality and justifiable access for the community

1. AS Higher Diploma program Trainer and coordinator, I :

• Developed and implemented a program evaluation system to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
• Designed and created program materials and resources to communicate program activities and outcomes to stakeholders( department heads and deans, quality directors and presidents
• Coordinated and organized candidates graduation program events, action research workshops, and meetings, resulting in increased program engagement as well as  program effectiveness
•  Deliver training for hours a week in yearly basis program
•  Helped at least 10 higher education instructors to be graduated in higher diploma program per year since 2017. 

1. Teacher, Counselor and Instructor

• I am now an instructor, coordinator, trainer and researcher in Bahir Dar University with rank of assistant professor since 2021.
•  I have generally 17+ years of working experience in various working units.  I have been working as instructor in public universities and colleges for the last 12 years since 2011- today and I was teaching English as Foreign Language as well as serving guidance and counseling for five years since July 2005 -2011 at secondary school. 

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

1. AS Unit Level Head for Teachers Association, I : 

• Participate in teachers development platforms
• Address issues related to teachers benefit packages
• Work on coordinating members at unit level for their development

1. As Trainer, I:

• Provide life skills training for freshman program students every a year 
• Frequently deliver Peer Education systems in HIV/AIDS issues for students 
• Train teachers , students, school and other organizational leaders on Mind Set 
• Provide trainings on soft skills and job searching skills for graduate class students. 

1. Educational QUALIFICATION 

To begin with, I honored my master’s degree in Educational Psychology with cumulative grade point average (CGPA of 3.94) from Bahir Dar University in 2011. I also got my first degree in Pedagogical Science with composite English language with cumulative Grade point average (CGPA of 3.21) in 2005 at Bahir Dar University.   

LANGUAGES

Amharic and English, Excellent and Very good in all domains of skills respectively 

INTERESTS AND   HOBBIES

• I like Reading books on the field of specialization (Psychology) and child development health related research works.
• I’m highly interested in conducting and participating in research symposiums.
• I’m highly interested in seeking solutions based on scientific facts and logic.
• I have the commitment and devotion of spare time to accomplish organizational tasks if any.
