Chief Executive officer 

The College of Education, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), shall develop the mission, vision, and objectives of the college in cascading Bahir Dar University; together with the college’s Executive Committee. The CEO shall ensure stakeholder satisfaction in developing better work friendly environment to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the College staff. He/she shall establish and maintain international and local partners to advocate the college’s intellectual and social affairs and  shall manage the budget in efficient manner to ensure the delivery of effective teaching-learning, community engagement and research in collaboration with university leadership and college‘s stakeholders.

The College of Education, CEO, shall benchmark local and foreign best practices in relation to the college’s service deliveries and process by ensuring collective integrity, responsibility, and accountability for every activity of the staff. He/she shall mobilize resources in order to achieve the vision of the college in designing dissemination and approval platforms of top-down hierarchy   stakeholders. CEO, shall effectively implement continuous quality management, process improvement initiatives and technology transfer in ensuring appropriate staff development programs in line with the target performance goals of the college’s core processes and continuous assessment and evaluation of staff performance to assure the positive impact of college on our society. 

School deans 

The School deans shall develop the mission, vision, and objectives of the schools in cascading college of Education mission, vision, goals and objectives; together with the schools’ academic council.   Deans shall ensure stakeholder satisfaction in developing better work friendly environment to improve efficiency, and effectiveness of the staff. Establishing and maintaining international and local partners to advocate the college’s intellectual and social affairs. The deans shall manage the schools budget in efficient manner to ensure the delivery of effective teaching-learning, community engagement and research in collaboration with university leadership and college partners.

The School deans shall benchmark local and foreign best practices in areas related to the schools’ service deliveries and process by ensuring collective integrity, responsibility, and accountability for every activity of the schools. The deans shall mobilize resources in order to achieve the vision of the schools in designing dissemination and approval platforms of top-down hierarchy to the office of college of Education Executive director and other key stakeholders. 

The School deans shall implement continuous quality management, process improvement initiatives and technology transfer in ensuring appropriate staff development programs in line with the target performance goals of the college’s core processes and continuous assessment and evaluation on the performance of the staff and to assure the positive impact of schools on our society. 

School vice deans 

The School vice deans shall directs the teaching-learning, community service and research activities to achieve goals and objectives and to realize the mission and vision of the schools in following and executing the decisions and recommendations of the school’s academic council. The vice deans shall seeks opportunities for the professional development of the staff and students of the schools in keeping records of activities of every staff member of the schools to serve as input for evaluation. 

The School vice deans shall follow up and facilitates the processing of appointments, promotions, salary increments and benefits due to staff members of the schools in conducting  performance evaluation of each staff member at the end of each academic year. The vice deans shall ensures that students’ evaluations and colleague reviews of staff members of the faculty are properly conducted and the necessary reports are submitted to the dean as per procedures on these matters.

The school vice deans shall, assess the labor market, identify potential and existing demand of academic and research programs to be launched by the schools in preparing plans, programs and budgets for the activities of the schools and closely supervises the implementation of approved plans and programs. The Vice deans shall, ensure timely and effective communication and advertising of the schools’ academic programs and research interests to stakeholders in establishing strong and profitable partnerships and relationships with governmental, nongovernmental and private organizations. He/she shall coordinate, administer, and correct program exit and NGAT test for students admitting and exiting selection process
