     Program Objectives 


The primary objectives of the Matter's Degree in Educational Leadership are to produce: 

  • School principals and supervisors who can play a leading role in providing, maintaining and supporting quality education
  •  Educational leaders who can effectively lead educational institutions at different levels 
  • Educational mangers who can effectively manage changes and diversities in educational system
  • Experts who can democratically communicate with all the stakeholders of educational institutions

     Program Objectives


  • Develop school vision, long and short-terms plans, school improvement programs and projects, and innovative and feasible interventions on the teaching-learning process through the involvement of the school community 
  • Lead teaching and learning activities in schools through proper implementation of school curricula and adaptation of teaching practices that foster and promote collegial learning and better student outcomes
  • Manage effectively and efficiently various school resources (physical, financial, and human) so that they impact teachers‟ practices and students' learning outcomes 
  • Supervise and manage curriculum, instructional activities, and assessment
  •  Coordinate and mobilize school community to enhance their commitment in enacting the visions of schools and improve learning outcomes 
  • Develop and follow up teachers' professional learning and growth, and nurture an atmosphere of collegial and collaborative school culture that strives for continuous improvement and excellence 
  • Manage School policies through initiating innovations and change 
  • Design appropriate instructional practices, in collaboration with the teachers, to enhance students' learning outcomes through proper monitoring and assessment of student' performance in school, cluster, regional and national examinations 
  • Engage in continuous improvement and professional development activities through reflecting on one's practices 
  • Conduct researches focused on resolving school-wide problems so as to enhance student learning

Upon successful completion of this training program, graduates will be qualified professionals, aligned with nationally recognized profiles for primary school principals, capable of: 

  • Providing professional assistance to students, teachers, school leaders, and community members on educational matters 
  • Leading and supporting educational initiatives in primary schools, including instructional supervision and school management 
  • Acting as resource persons in educational leadership and management across various institutions.
  • Offering training, consultancy, and advisory services to schools, cluster organizations, and education offices at different administrative levels
  •  Designing, implementing, and evaluating educational projects, workshops, seminars, and training programs Conducting research on educational issues such as quality, equity, access, policy, leadership, and school improvement practices 
  • Offering counseling services on reproductive health, marital issues, career development, and correctional education Applying effective managerial skills to enhance performance, motivation, and human resource management in education 
  • Utilizing ICT and other appropriate technologies in school settings 
  • Demonstrating critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills
