Bahir Dar University holds consultative discussion with Smart Innovation Norway

Bahir Dar University holds consultative discussion with Smart Innovation Norway, a research center based in Norway, to work collaboratively.

Dr Tesfaye SHiferaw, vice president for Research and Community Services, BDU briefed the guests about Bahir Dar and the University. The v/president also highlighted the University’s focus in areas of technology innovation.

Mrs Heidi Tuiskula deputy general manager and head of the Energy sector of Smart Innovation Norway said she was pleased with the presentation on Bahir Dar University. She added that her organization is interested to work in collaboration with Bahir Dar University.

The guests paid a working visit to the University. Led by Dr. Tesfa Tegegne, Director of Bahir Dar Science and Incubation Center (STEM center), the guests visited the laboratories of the center and innovations by ICT department and the students.

Similarly, Bezawork Tilahun, BIT maker space coordinator at Dar University Institute of Technology (BiT), explained to the visiting guests on the innovative works being made by students at the Institute of Technology.

Bezawork added that BIT maker space project is focused on working in areas of medical technology, agricultural technology, cosmetics products, food processing and recycling.

Visitors from Norway expressed their appreciation on the innovations and the hands on teaching learning they have witnessed. They expressed that they have seen enough to decide on areas in which Smart Innovation Norway could work collaboratively.

ባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ከ ‹‹Smart Innovation Norway›› ጋር ለመስራት የሚያስችል ምክክር አካሄደ

 

[ሚያዝያ 11/2014 ዓ.ም፣ ባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ-ባዳዩ] የባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ኖርዌይ ሀገር ከሚገኘው ‹‹Smart Innovation Norway›› ከተባለ የምርምር ተቋም ጋር በትብብር መስራት የሚያስችል ምክክር አካሄደ፡፡

 

የባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርስቲ የምርምርና ማኅበረሰብ አገልግሎት ምክትል ፕሬዚዳንት ዶ/ር ተስፋዬ ሽፈራው ባሕር ዳር ከተማን እና ዩኒቨርሲቲውን በማስመልከት ለእንግዶች ገለጻ አድርገዋል፡፡ ም/ፕሬዚደንቱ አክለውም በቴክኖሎጂ ኢኖቬሽን ዩኒቨርሲቲው ስለሚሰራባቸው የትኩረት ነጥቦችም አንስተዋል፡፡

የ‹‹Smart Innovation Norway›› ምክትል ስራ አስኪያጅና የኢነርጅ ዘርፍ ኃላፊ Mrs. Heidi Tuiskula በበኩላቸው ስለ ባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርስቲ ስራዎች በቀረበላቸው ገለጻ መደሰታቸውን ገልጸው፤ ድርጅታቸውም በቀጣይ ከባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ጋር በትብብር የመስራት ፍላጎት እንዳለው ተናግረዋል፡፡

እንግዶቹ በዩኒቨርሲቲው የስራ ጉብኝት ያደረጉ ሲሆን የባሕር ዳር ሳይንስ ኢንኩቤሽን ማዕከል (STEM Center) ቤተ ሙከራዎች፤ ICT ክፍል እና በተማሪዎች የተሰሩትን የፈጠራ ስራዎች በማዕከሉ ዋና ዳይሬክተር ዶ/ር ተስፋ ተገኘ አማካኝነት ተጎብኝቷል፡፡

በተመሳሳይ በባሕርዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ቴክኖሎጂ ኢንስቲትዩት (BiT) ሜከር ስፔስ አስተባባሪ (BIT maker space coordinator) ወ/ሪት ቤዛወርቅ ጥላሁን በቴክኖሎጂ ኢንስቲትዩት ተማሪዎች እየተሰሩ ያሉትን የፈጠራ ስራዎች በተመለከተ ገለጻ በማድረግ አስጎብኝተዋል፡፡

ወ/ሪት ቤዛወርቅ አክለውም የፕሮጀክቱ የትኩረት መስኮች የህክምና ቴክኖሎጂ፤ የግብርና ቴክኖሎጂ፤ የመዋቢያ ምርቶች፤ የምግብ ማቀነባበርና ተረፈ ምርቶችን መልሶ ጥቅም ላይ በማዋል ዙሪያ በትኩረት እየሰራ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል፡፡

ከኖርዎይ የመጡት የጉብኝቱ ተሳታፊዎችን ባዩት የፈጠራ ስራዎችና በተግባር የታገዘ ትምህርት አግራሞታቸውን ገልጠው የመጡበት ተቋም ‹‹Smart Innovation Norway›› በዘርፉ በትብብር ሊሰራባቸው የሚችላቸውን ስራዎች ለመወሰን የሚያስችል ጉብኝት ማድረጋቸውን ገልጸዋል፡፡
