Bahir Dar University’s School of Veterinary Medicine and BROOKE Ethiopia signed an MoU on May 12, 2025, at BROOKE’s head office in Addis Ababa to enhance veterinary training, animal welfare, and community outreach.

Bahir Dar University’s (BDU) School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM), represented by Dr. Yeshwas Ferede, actively participated in the National Workshop on Veterinary Education National Action Plan (VEd NAP) held on May 9, 2025, in Addis Ababa. The workshop, organized by The Ohio State University and the University of Gondar, focused on enhancing Ethiopia’s veterinary education through curriculum harmonization, practical training improvements, and strategic partnerships.
