Background

The Department of Veterinary Biomedical and Para-clinical Sciences operates under the School of Veterinary Medicine at Bahir Dar University. The department is committed to teaching, research, and community engagement in foundational and applied aspects of veterinary medicine. It consists of three course chairs: Veterinary Biomedical Sciences, Veterinary Microbiology and Immunology, and Veterinary Parasitology and Pathology. To strengthen hands-on training, the department manages dedicated laboratories for Veterinary Anatomy, Microbiology, Parasitology, and Pathology, ensuring students acquire practical skills in the laboratory diagnosis of animal diseases.
