Wudu Muluneh Yimer (MSc.) is a Lecturer in the Department of Real Property Valuation at the Institute of Land Administration, Bahir Dar University, where he also serves as Chairholder of the Real Estate Investment and Development Track. Before joining Bahir Dar University, he served as a lecturer at several public universities, including in the Department of Urban Land Administration, Faculty of Urban Development, at Kotebe Metropolitan University (now Kotebe University of Education). He also served as a District Municipal Manager in the Bole Sub-City Administration of the Addis Ababa City Government.
He received a Professional Diploma in Urban Development from the Africa Urban Lab at the African School of Economics in 2025, an M.A. in Urban Management from the Ethiopian Civil Service University in 2008, and a B.A. in Economics from Debub University (now Hawassa University) in 2006. His professional training includes a Higher Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, a Level V Professional Qualification in Real Property Valuation, and certificates in Political Economy of Land Governance, Urban and Regional Economics, Feminist Macroeconomics, and Monitoring and Evaluation.
His research focuses on land economics, real estate markets, property valuation, urban finance, land value capture, urbanization, and urban governance, with a particular emphasis on Ethiopia and Sub-Saharan Africa. His work has examined financing urban infrastructure through land leasing, urban land policy, and the role of land governance in promoting sustainable urban development.
