The organizational Structure of the Institute of Land Administration (ILA) at Bahir Dar University

The Bahir Dar University is overseen by the Bahir Dar University Board and under the University Board there is the President's Office. Under the President office there are four Vice President Offices namely, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Administration and Development, Vice President for Research and Community Engagement, and Vice President for Information and Strategic Communication.

The Institute of Land Administration, which is accountable to the vice presidents, is headed by a dean and two vice deans namely, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Office , Vice Dean for Postgraduate, Research and Community Service Office and the Registrar Office and Quality Assurance Coordination Office. 

The institute consists of three departments:

1. Department of Land Administration and Surveying, offering tracks in:

▪              Land Administration

▪              Land Economics

▪              Land Law

2. Department of Real Property Valuation, offering tracks in:

▪              Construction Technology and Architecture

▪              Land Administration

▪              Land Economics

▪              Property Valuation

3. Department of Architecture, offering tracks in:

▪              Theory and History of Architecture

▪              Architectural Design

▪              Building Materials and Science

▪              Construction Management and Architectural Practice

▪              Urban Planning and Housing

The structure ensures academic, administrative, and research responsibilities are well-coordinated across various departments and support offices.
