
DR. ESUBALEW ALEMNEH
Esubalew Alemneh obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Université Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in France in 2019. He earned his MSc in Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering from University Putra Malaysia in 2009, and completed his BSc in Computer Science at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, in 2005. Esubalew has more than 17 years of experience in teaching, research, system development, and administrative roles. He worked as a Graduate Assistant from August 2005 to June 2007, served as a Lecturer from June 2009 to May 2017, and has been an Assistant Professor at Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia, since May 2014. Throughout his career, he has engaged in various research projects and taught numerous undergraduate and graduate courses. He has held positions such as Director of Technology Teaching-Learning Process at the ICT Directorate of Bahir Dar University and Course Chair Holder at the System Development Course Chair of the Faculty of Computing at Bahir Dar Institute of Technology. Currently, he is the Director of the ICT4D Research Center at the same institute. Esubalew possesses significant expertise in software development and consultancy, having contributed to the design and development of various web-based applications and dynamic websites. His notable projects include the Lease Holding Information Management System for the Ministry of Urban Development, Housing, and Construction, the Integrated Market Information System for the Amhara National Regional State Trade Bureau, the Local Economic Development Information Management System for Bahir Dar City Administration, and the Property Administration System for Bahir Dar University. He has also provided consultancy for the development of an Enterprise Resource Planning system for the Amhara Water Works Construction Enterprise. Esubalew has published research papers in several reputable journals and conferences and has served as an invited reviewer for various academic journals.
