Brief Biography:

Currently, he is a PhD Candidate at the Faculty of Law, Monash University in Australia (on study leave). Prior to joining Monash Law, he was a lecturer in law at School of Law, Bahir Dar University where he was teaching and researching on Media Law and Advanced Construction Law. He has started his teaching debut at School of Law, Samara University in 2014 where he was served as Assistant Lecturer. Later, he has been appointed as—Lecturer in Law, and Head of the Law School.

He holds degrees—Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Human Rights Law (University of Groningen, the Netherlands), Honours Masters in Leadership (Groningen Honours College, the Netherlands), LL.M in Public International Law (Addis Ababa University) , and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) in Law (Wollo University).

His scholarship unravels to answer the balance between freedom of expression, and privacy on the Internet under the African human rights system. He uses a maiore ad minus view of international law to (re)define general discourses, perspectives, and narratives into specific human rights framework.
