Brief Biography

Mr. Besfat Dejen is a senior staff of governance and development studies at Bahir Dar University. He was the head of Governance and Development Studies. He has engaged in two research projects and five community services. He has six publications and provided lectures on more than nineteen courses both at Wollega and Bahir Dar University. Currently, he is engaging in one research project titled “organizational success, organizational justices and citizenship behavior’, which is supported by Bahir Dar University.  He was involved as an external reviewer for three manuscripts at Abyssinia Journal of Business and Social Sciences (Wollo University).

EdUCATION 

He holds an MA in Governance and Development, Specialization on Governance from Hawassa University, and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Civic and Ethical Education from Wollega University. He has been awarded a gold medal as an outstanding student of social science faculty in 2001 E.C from Wollega University. 

RECENT RESEARCH GRANTS AND AWARDS

20017-2019, Co-PI, Research project on the effect of organization Justice on Organizational Success; the mediating role of organizational citizenship in Amhara Regional state public enterprises.

2016-2017, PI,     Research Project on “the Effect of Urbanization on Poverty in Amhara Regional State Metropolitan cities”. (funded by Bahir Dar University).
