The Department of Gender and Development Studies (Faculty of Social Science)conducted a “Consultative workshop on Career Development” for female academic staff of the FSS and CoBE on July 3, 2021. The workshop aimed at identifying problems that hinder females’ academic career development and to suggest way outs to fill their gaps. Fifteen female academic staff members participated in the workshop, emphasizing on their hindrances whereby they urged the department to arrange a full package training program to be delivered on an ongoing basis. During the discussion session, they figured out major thematic areas as training packages,including language proficiency, research publication, quantitative and qualitative data analysis software use, project design, and other enhancing factors to develop their career.
