Faculty Ph.D. Student wins two Prestigious Awards in the US

Mohammed Seid, Faculty staff and currently a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science and International Studies has won two internationally competitive Awards. Mohammed, who works under the supervision of Professor Fantu Cheru, won a six months fellowship award and fully sponsored period of stay at the African Studies Center, University of Michigan, and an opportunity to take part in the 2020 Research Development Group for early Career Scholars from African Institutions, organized by the American Political Science Association, set to be held in San Francisco, CA, the USA in September.

Both awards are highly competitive and clearly demonstrative Mohammed’s high academic caliber and the breakthrough he is making en route to become a recognized global scholar in his field. Apart from these two accomplishments, Mohammed has also published in reputable journals of a high standard and had presented his research outputs in international Conferences in Kenya and China 

His high achievements come as inspiration for other Ph.D. students to emulate and follow suit! Congratulation to Mohammed!
