NAME: AZANAW ABEBE  ENGEDA

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:

 

Azanaw completed his first degree in Agricultural Extension at Alemaya University, Ethiopia, he then did masters degree in Rural development and agricultural extension (Agricultural Communication and Innovation). He also received short term special trainings on the following subjects:

Professional capacity building program on design and management of interactive learning in rural innovation from November 5, 2012 to 23 November 2012, Netherlands, Wageningen.

Project planning and management

Gender Sensitization and Awareness Raising Methods

Training course on Cooperative Business Skill Development

Strategic Business Planning,

Technical and Financial Feasibility Assessment,

Training Techniques and Methodologies to Cooperative Promoters.

Since 2012 he has been lecturing under-graduate courses in the department of Rural Development, Rural Development and Agricultural Extension and Value Chain Oriented Mid Career Agricultural Extension Programs. And he is also coordinator of value chain oriented mid career agricultural extension program in the college.

RESEARCH & PUBLICATIONS:

 

As member of rural development and agricultural extension research team, Azanaw participated in conducting a study on:

Gender Equality in Rural Development and Agricultural Extension in Fogera District, Ethiopia: Implementation, Access to and Control Over Resources.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:

Azanaw has written training modules for mid career agricultural extension program on communication and audiovisual.

Supervised Enterprise project, in Mid Career Agricultural Extension Program in Amhara National Regional State of Ethiopia’’. This community service project was delivered since August 2013 up to date.

 He has facilitated workshop on mid career program.
