Research Ethics Policy:

Any research undertaking in the university should give due consideration to the respect of the rights and values of people, communities, nationalities, ethnic groups, and animal welfare and the environment, all research proposals including clinical trials involving, humans, animals, environment, new drugs and other new biological products, sensitive issues shall obtain ethical clearance, National and international standards, procedures, conventions and treaties shall be respected to minimize/avoid negative impacts of research on the environment, ethical considerations shall be made when dealing with human subjects, individual’s consent and his identities shall be kept confidential or anonymous unless with their informed consent, for under age children, ethical considerations shall be dealt with their parents/guardians/caretakers, ethical issues in research shall be handled and cleared by BDU’s Institutional Ethical Review Board.

Every staff member involved in research activity is responsible for creating an environment that promotes intellectual honesty and integrity while ensuring that misconduct in research or scholarly activities is not tolerated.
