The Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology (EiTEX), Bahir Dar University, in collaboration with the African Leather and Leather Products Institute (ALLPI), has hosted the first National Conference on Sustainable Leather Manufacturing and Innovation (SLMI-2025) at Inter Luxury Hotel, Addis Ababa.

The conference focuses on leather manufacturing and Innovation through advanced education and technology to sustain leather products, taking the immense potential of the sector in Ethiopia.
