Pre-engineering

SANS and Pre-Engineering Coordinator is organized by two broad streams i.e., Applied natural science and Applied Social science. The applied natural science stream carrying out all common courses related to mathematics and statistics. It is organized by three chairs, i.e., Applied Mathematics, Non-Applied Mathematics and Statistics. The applied social science stream carrying out all common courses related to English language, Civics & ethical education and reasoning skill. There are two chairs under the applied social science stream i.e., English and Civics & Ethical education.

Over all there are 35 academic staff and 2 administrative staff have been engaged in the teaching and learning process. The major goal of SANS and Pre-engineering coordinator is to deliver updated & quality common courses for all faculties, engage in demand driven multi-disciplinary researches & community services and provide professional consultancy services that can support the academic endeavor of the academic community in the institute.

Currently, SANS and Pre-Engineering Coordination office administer pre-engineering students until they choose and join one of the engineering faculties at Bahir Dar Institute of Technology (BiT).
