Campus Representation: The Union operates across 7 distinct campuses, each led by its own Campus President.
Executive Integration: In a model of true collaborative governance, the 7 Campus Presidents serve as core members of the Central Executive Committee. This ensures that campus-specific needs are integrated into the University’s central decision-making process.

Welcome to the Students’ Union of Bahir Dar University. It is both an honor and a responsibility to serve the student community of one of Ethiopia’s leading universities. At Bahir Dar University, students are at the center of the academic community. The Students’ Union is committed to representing the collective voice of students and ensuring that their academic, social, and personal experiences are supported within a dynamic and inclusive university environment. Our mission is to promote student engagement, strengthen collaboration between students and the university administration, and encourage leadership, innovation, and responsible citizenship among students. Through dialogue, partnership, and active participation, we work to ensure that the university remains a place where students can grow intellectually, socially, and professionally. As a student of Social Anthropology, I believe that universities play a critical role in fostering understanding, diversity, and social responsibility. A vibrant academic community is built on respect, cooperation, and the shared commitment to learning and service. I encourage all students to take full advantage of the opportunities available at Bahir Dar University—to engage in academic excellence, leadership development, and community service. Together, we can continue to strengthen our university as a center of knowledge, innovation, and positive societal impact.
