Asmamaw Chanie Yihun (Ph.D.) is an Assistant Professor in the areas of Geodesy, GNSS Data Processing, Satellite Geodesy, Geospatial Technologies, at Bahir Dar University, Institute of Land Administration, Ethiopia. He received his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Physics, in GPS modeling, from Bahir Dar University in 2021, with research focused on GNSS data processing, satellite geodesy, and atmospheric science. He also completed an intensive backend software engineering program in Python, FastAPI, Flask, and SQL/SQLite at Masterschool, Berlin, in 2024. He worked as a Junior Software Engineer at webeet.io in Remote office works and as a Senior Lecturer and Geospatial Consultant at Bahir Dar University since 2010 to present, where he led GIS and geospatial technology projects, including digital land mapping solutions for over 50 cities across Ethiopia. He has published his work in internationally indexed scientific journals.
