Alelegn Wenedem Agegnehu (LLB, MSc, LLM, PhD) is an Assistant Professor and Researcher at the Institute of Land Administration, Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. His scholarly expertise lies in the domains of land policy and governance, as well as energy and climate law. Dr. Alelegn's research includes critical areas such as land governance, real property rights, clean energy investment, carbon markets, and climate finance.

His work is particularly focused on the intersections of land investment, critical minerals, energy transition, green hydrogen development, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and sustainable development. Dr. Alelegn's specialized knowledge in land policies for climate action, regulatory frameworks governing land rights, renewable energy investment, power purchase agreements, and energy supply chain management underpins his contributions to fostering equitable and sustainable approaches in energy, climate and land sectors.
