Faculty of Social Science Conducts Training on Publication, Grant, and Fellowship Writing

The Faculty of Social Science successfully conducted a half-day training program on publication, grant writing, and fellowship proposal development for academic staff and postgraduate students on May 26, 2026.
The training was delivered by Dr. Alemayehu Erkihun and focused on key aspects of academic publishing, research funding opportunities, and competitive fellowship applications. Participants gained practical insights into manuscript preparation, journal selection, responding to peer review comments, and strategies for improving publication success.
In addition, the session addressed essential techniques for developing strong grant and fellowship proposals. Emphasis was placed on identifying funding opportunities, aligning research objectives with funding priorities, and presenting research ideas effectively to potential sponsors.
The training also highlighted advanced academic writing approaches and communication techniques that can enhance the clarity, coherence, and impact of scholarly work.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session, allowing participants to engage directly with the resource person and seek guidance on their research and writing challenges.
