The international conference organized by Bahir Dar University and the Supreme Court of the Amhara Region has concluded successfully

The international conference, which concluded on the second day with keynote speeches and in-depth panel discussions on the topic of the Rule of Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution for Sustainable Peace, concluded by examining the current situation related to the topic, assessing the opportunities, sharing national, regional and international experiences, and suggesting strategic directions.

The second and final day of the program began with keynote addresses by Dr. Brooke Taye, CEO of Ethiopian Investment Holdings, and Honorable Ato Nigusse Tizazu, Deputy Director General at the Ministry of Justice and alumnus of Bahir Dar University. Dr. Brooke Taye explained that inclusive growth requires clarity of thought, transparency of facts, and a clear and strong rule of law. Ato Nigusse Tizazu, on his part, highlighted the importance of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution as tools for sustainable development, especially in cross-border investment.

Following the keynote addresses, a panel discussion was held with experts and government officials with extensive experience in the field and extensive discussions were held with the participants' forward-looking reflections.

Finally, the conference concluded with a summary and closing message by the Honorable Ato Alemante Agidew, President of the Supreme Court of the Amhara Region.
