Bahir Dar University and Amhara Regional Chamber of Commerce Sign MoU for Collaboration
Bahir Dar University's Institute of Land Administration (ILA-BDU) and the Amhara Regional Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ARCCSA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate joint work and collaboration.
The agreement's primary objective is to foster evidence-based decision-making, capacity building and training, information exchange, awareness creation, community outreach, and economic growth through collaborative initiatives in education, research, policy, and practical development between the two institutions.
During the signing ceremony, the Dean of the Bahir Dar University Institute of Land Administration, Dr. Seid Hussen Yimam, detailed the ongoing work of the University and the Institute, highlighting the conducive environment for working with Bahir Dar city, particularly the business community. He further stated that the collaboration is expected to lead to the implementation of diverse activities that will benefit both institutions.
On his part, Ato Endalkachew Yirdaw, Acting Vice President of the Amhara Regional Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, noted that although there were many opportunities to work with the University, his institution had not fully capitalized on them until now. He expressed commitment to executing the agreement and delivering impactful results.
The Memorandum of Understanding is valid for a period of five years and may be renewed based on its effectiveness, according to discussions held during the ceremony.
