Partnerships

The Institute of Land Administration (ILA) has established a strong link with the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden. KTH is currently partner in the “Establishment of the Institute of Land Administration Bahir Dar University Project”.

Currently five staffs are studying Land Administration and one staff Geodesy and Geoinformatics at Master level and three staffs are studying at PhD level at KTH.Partnership with ITC in the Netherlands has also been established. One staff is currently studying GIS at PhD level at ITC. ILA has also supported master students from ITC doing their field studies in Bahir Dar.

Within Ethiopia ILA has also established partnerships. Bahir Dar University - Institute of Land Administration (BDU-ILA), Environmental Protection, Land Administration and Use Authority (EPLAUA), Bureau of Works and Urban Development (BoWUD) and Bahir Dar City Administration (BDCA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the area of land administration.
