Summary Above 12 years’ experience with Humanitarian, developmental and academic institutions with a theme of disaster risk management, early warning, livelihoods, food security, humanitarian interventions, project management and monitoring and evaluations at GO and NGOs.  I have pursued my PhD in Development Studies. In addition, I do have triple masters: MA in Project Management, Analysis & Evaluation, MSc in Geo-information and MSc Disaster Risk Management & Sustainable Development, Currently, I am working as a Lecturer and Researcher at Bahir Dar University since August 2016. I have proven my competency in WFP, FHI, National Disaster Risk Management Commission, Bahir Dar University, Gambela University, McGill University among others. 

Work experience 

  1. From August 14/2016 till now (More than 7 years) as Lecturer, Researcher, Vice Director and Department Heat at Bahir Dar University, Institute of Disaster Risk Management and Food Security Studies 
  2. From October 1,2014 up to August 13/2016 (1 year & 11 months) Lecturer and Department Head at Gambela University, Collage of Agriculture and Natural Resources under Department of Disaster Risk Management and Sustainable Development 
  3. From June 01, 2013 up to Sept 30, 2014 (1 year & 3 months) as Early Warning and Disaster Risk Reduction Intern in USAID funded disaster risk management strengthening project at the current Benshangul Gumez National Disaster Risk Management Commission 
  4. From February 1, 2011 to April 30, 2012 (1 year & 3 months) as a Nutrition Research Assistant at McGill University of Canada’s research titled “The effect of Iodized salt on child development in Amhara region, Ethiopia”. This research was undertaken under
