Research Interests

I am interested in understanding Earth's systems through field observations, geology,
geochemistry, petrogenesis, and isotope studies of rocks. My research focuses on the geology,
mineralogy, petrography, and geochemistry of minerals and resources associated with
sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks.

Teaching Areas

My teaching areas include undergraduate courses in petrology and related fields: Stratigraphy and Earth History, Geomorphology, Paleontology, Practical Paleontology, Mineralogy, Sedimentary Petrology, Practical Sedimentary Petrology, Tectonics, Ethiopian Geology and Resources of Ethiopia, Field Geology, Sedimentary Terrain Mapping, Igneous Terrain Mapping, and Metamorphic Terrain Mapping.

Professional Experience

I have experience in field-based geological work, teaching, research, community surveys, and conducting geochemical and petrographic analyses of rocks.
