Objectives

To produce more and better qualified graduates in the area of mathematics and science education by developing new masters and PhD programs and providing training for teacher educators in Ethiopia and South Sudan
To enhance the gender responsive teaching practices and mathematics and science pedagogical skills of school teachers through short term training
To produce more and better research in the areas of mathematics and science education by establishing research collaborations among the north and south partners and schools and teacher education colleges
To strengthen the capacity of the STEM center at Bahir Dar University by equipping it with STEM materials
To enhance the mathematics and science teaching capacity of selected primary schools in Amhara region by equipping them with science learning kits
To strengthen the capacity of institutional leaders of the south partners through short visits
