Celebrating GIS Day 2025 on November 22nd with the theme “Geo-Generalist Era: Where Spatial Meets Everything”

Bahir Dar University's Geospatial Data & Technology Center (GDTC) celebrated GIS Day 2025 on November 22nd with the theme “Geo-Generalist Era: Where Spatial Meets Everything.” The event gathered researchers, students, and experts to discuss advancements in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Presentations covered GIS's historical milestones and applications in agriculture and environmental science. Researchers Biniam Sisheber (PhD) and Tegegn Molla (PhD) presented on 'The Application and Evolution of GNSS and UAV'.
