Workineh Genet Yihunie is a Lecturer, and  researcher in the Department of Political Science and International Studies at Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. His research area focuses on Politics and government, Ethiopian politics, ethno-nationalism, state-building, conflict dynamics, digital politics, bio-politics, and geopolitics in the Horn of Africa. 

He has a  track record of publishing in peer-reviewed international journals, presenting at national and international academic conferences, and contributing to curriculum development, student training, and applied research projects. He currently holds significant academic leadership and administrative responsibilities within his institution.
